Overview

Domaine Toit du Monde is a unique chic mountain retreat unrivalled anywhere in the Alps. A former monastery, dating from the 17th century, this beautiful landmark property is situated on the piste in the un-spoilt Hameau of La Daille in Val d’Isere and luxuriates in every way with all the highest spec modern comforts imaginable to create an opulent space. Combining both Chalet Himalaya and Toit du Monde, this luxury chalet in Val d’Isere can sleep up to 16 people, making it a perfect chalet for friends and family.

These combined chalets are like nothing you will have seen, with so many magical touches making them totally unique. Bursting with Tibetan chests, carved antique wood doors, handmade rustic railings from the Mongolian Steppes, and vast blocks of carved marvel, Chalet Toit du Monde is lavish and indulgent with every level of luxury – a movie screen at the touch of a button, and a hidden swimming pool as well as a sauna and a massage room. And not forgetting the impressively stocked wine cellar with rare vintages.

Old meets new to create a wonderful warm ambience throughout this luxury Val d’Isere chalet. Original features take your breath away, from the massive stone open fireplaces to the stunning window stone seats, where monks would sit and read until darkness. This is all enhanced by modern ornamental features and state-of-the-art facilities. Ornate chandeliers, quirky off pieces and ornamental mirrors. 

Domaine Toit du Monde is as sumptuous as it gets. Split between two chalets, each of the 8 stunning bedroom suites has under-flooring heating with independent controls with separate sleeping and relaxation areas. The exquisitely comfortable hand-made hardwood king-size (or twin) beds are enhanced with antique carvings. And with delightful en-suite facilities, you may struggle to leave the comfort of your room. 

What more could you want? Well, it doesn’t stop there. Your personal chef is at the ready creating culinary delights morning to night including rustling up some tasty children’s suppers and a private in-resort chauffeur is on standby to whisk you around the resort 8am-1am. Private transfers, ski lessons and other in-resort activities are easily arranged too. Fancy a night out? Nannies and babysitters can be sorted.

Exploring the nooks and crannies of the enchanting old stone monastery offers its own level of magic, not to mention the concealed swimming pools, with a movable floor ensuring it is safe for all which doubles up as a jacuzzi. When you mention that, according to the french, every bathroom has its own swimming pool, let alone a steam room, you’ll probably never have cleaner children! A huge drop-down HD screen with Sky allows kids downtime to watch movies and for those with excess energy to burn there are plenty of sledges for snowy outdoor fun – even husky-led rides and igloo experiences can be arranged.
