Stepping inside, you are instantly welcomed by the light and cosy living area. Spacious and opulent, Chalet Matten has created a home-from-home feeling, where no expense has been spared. The sumptuous cream sofa perfectly compliments the wooden features, and soft lighting ties it all together. There is a large oak table that can seat 6 comfortably, which is central to a modern and fully equipped kitchen โ essential for a self-catered chalet in Zermatt.
The best part? The shared fitness facilities and massage room on the ground floor of the building where you can enjoy a massage, facial, manicures and more. You will also have access to the shared outdoor Jacuzzi, where you can recover your ski muscles after a day out on the slopes. On this floor, there is also a fully equipped laundry room and a ski room.

Location
Chalet Matten is in one of the best locations within Zermatt. For access to skiing, the Klein Matterhorn Lift is a 7-10 minute walk or a 2-minute shuttle with the resort e-bus. Plus, you are just a short distance from the centre of the village. There is a local convenience store, bakery and choice of local bars and restaurants just 250m from the chalet. Zermatt is a car-free resort, so access is usually via train from the last stop at Tasch โ it takes 10 minutes to Zermatt. You can also be picked up by a private vehicle all the way to Zermatt main train station. The nearest airport is Sion, 1hr 30 minutes away and Geneva and Zurich 3hrs 30 minutes.
