Brand new for 2019, this chalet and is sublime. The consideration that has been put in from start to finish makes this is an absolute dream. This is an opulent and spacious chalet, where there is room for everyone here. Whether you want to keep ski fit you have the gym, or perhaps head to the swimming pool built into the rock, with its own ‘living wall’ and of course jet system to ensure a good swim. Relaxing is also at the heart of this luxury catered chalet, with huge sofas, a beautiful bar to enjoy a drink at, to the outdoor hot tub to gaze at some of the best views in Val d’Isere.

This chalet is all about the ultimate guest experiences – we spend a lot of time imagining how we would design the perfect luxury chalet and here with the new Chalet Machapuchare they have created a haven of luxuriating tranquillity and splendour. Subtle but stylish, with beautiful bedrooms, a glorious hi-tech cinema and all the extras you’d want, from a stylish ski room with individual lockers for your skis, heaters for your boots and comfortable seating, to the spa area with pool, gym and steam room.
Spread over four floors, the elevator is ready for any tired legs as you enter on the lower ground floor. The ground floor is dedicated to relaxing, be it in the cinema room with bespoke built soundproofing and seating, or in the steam room and spa area by the swimming pool. We recommend booking in a treatment or massage to make the best use of the massage room as well. Moving up the living area offers a huge double-height living area with an amazing modern twist on a chandelier over the deep soft sofas. The long dining table offers plenty of space for all to eat and is bathed in light for breakfast with floor to ceiling windows offering views out to the mountains, and more of the beautiful modern lighting ensures supper is elegantly lit.
Located in the Le Cret area this is a quiet and exclusive part of Val d’Isere but just a short walk or chauffeured drive into the centre of town. With its balconies and own garden, you can really stop and breathe the mountain air here, and with the hot tub carefully placed in the ground it enjoys the best view, and your host will be happy to bring your drink of choice.
The staff here are first class, and with your chef helping you start your day with a cooked or continental breakfast you can ensure you are fully fueled for your day skiing. To really make sure you get the best of what Val d’Isere has to offer in terms of skiing you also have the wonderful addition of your own ski instructor for the first two days.
Returning after your excursions the superb food continues, with afternoon tea to restore flagging energy and restore you for the time till canapes and champagne call. Children are well catered for also with an early tea provided to allow you to relax and really enjoy the four-course supper.
All the rooms have been carefully designed to allow every guest the best nights sleep and all that they need with gorgeous linens, luxury bath and body products and decadent robes and slippers. From rain showers, hand-carved stone basins to roll-top baths – each room offers something different and a number of them have balcony access.

Chalet Machapuchare is absolute heaven for children, there is ample space to enjoy themselves, from swimming in the pool, splashing about in the hot tub to lounging in front of a movie in the amazing cinema after a tiring day at ski school. One room also offers a single room if you prefer to have a younger child close by.
Your private chef can easily prepare an early children’s tea for younger ones, so parents can enjoy an adult-only evening meal after lights out. Fancy a night out or some time to fit in some extra skiing? Nannies and babysitters can also be arranged, just ask.

Up in the Le Cret area, you are less than a 15-minute walk from the centre of Val d’Isere. However as Chalet Machapuchare is a fully staffed chalet, your driver is on hand, whether you are setting off skiing or would like your shoes delivered to the bar before getting into the après-ski. Geneva is a 3-hour drive and Chambery 2 hours 15.
