Chris | January 11, 2023

Having worked for 4 winters in Val d’Isere it truly feels like a second home to me and I never tire of the incredible selection of on and off-piste dining that this amazing resort has to offer. The 2023 season brings some impressive new ultra-high end restaurants such as Nobu to its streets, whilst the ever impressive K2 L’Altiplano 2.0 continues to raise the bar for luxury dining in this world-famous resort.

Val-d’Isere is one of Europe’s highest and most prestigious ski resorts, and for a good reason. Considered the crown jewel of the Tarentaise Valley, this paradise for snow sports enthusiasts is also home to around 80 fantastic restaurants, bringing different styles of cuisine from all over the world to its famous snowy high street for skiers and snowboarders to gorge upon after enjoying its vast 300 km ski area linked with Tignes.

During the day the sun-soaked terraces of Val-d’Isere’s famous mountain restaurants provide the perfect setting to take a break from the skiing and treat yourself to a spot of lunch accompanied by a glass of something suitable, while you watch the alpine world go by. In the evening there are plenty of options to choose from, such as hearty Savoyard classics, delicate Japanese-Fusion or even inventive Peruvian-inspired dishes designed to transport your palate from the Alps to the Andes, Val-d’Isere has you covered.
